(Salt Lake City, UT) – Utahns who want medical marijuana legalized plan to start the process for a statewide ballot measure on the issue next month. Supporters of medical pot say state lawmakers have failed to address their concerns so they plan to take the issue to voters. The ballot measure would ask for legal use of whole plant marijuana for medical purposes. Governor Herbert and other lawmakers have urged caution, saying there needs to be more research and a step-by-step approach to the issue.Â
