M. Russell Ballard, Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints has died. The LDS Church announced that Pres. Ballard had a recent brief hospital stay after which he returned home where he attended to duties as he was able to before passing away at approximately 11:15 p.m. Nov. 12 surrounded by loved ones. Pres. Ballard has served as an apostle for the LDS church since 1985 and has been the Acting President of the Quorum of the Twelve Apostles since 2018. President Ballard is survived by his seven children, 43 grandchildren, 105 great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild. Funeral details will be announced at a later date.
