(St. George, UT) — The Utah Division of Motor Vehicles is making changes to license plate distribution next year. The changes will take effect on New Year’s Day thanks to legislation passed by the state legislature earlier this year. It includes making only one plate required for most vehicles and those plates will be sent from a single location in the Beehive State. Officials will also be consolidating the month and year registration decal instead of having two separate decals. The idea is to bring down production costs and make the process more efficient.
