(Orem, UT) — Senator Mike Lee says independent candidate Evan McMullin owes him an apology. The Republican senator clashed repeatedly with McMullin last night during their debate at Utah Valley University in Orem. McMullin said Lee betrayed the Constitution by supporting President Trump’s attempt to overturn the results of the 2020 election. Lee fired back, calling McMullin’s accusations a lie and implying he was a Democrat in disguise. Aside from their clashes, the two candidates agreed that the government needs to stop excessive federal spending while continuing to support Social Security and Medicare.
