SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — A lawsuit filed by the the American Civil Liberties Union of Utah says state probation and parole officers illegally entered a home during a raid. The Salt Lake Tribune reported the complaint filed in U.S. District Court contends the officers violated a family’s constitutional protection against unlawful searches in August 2018. The lawsuit says the Adult Probation and Parole division officers were looking for a relative who did not live in the Salt Lake City home and was not present at the time. The officers had an arrest warrant for the family member who had violated his probation.
