(Salt Lake City, UT) — Utah lawmakers are pushing forward with several ceremonial naming bills. Measures naming the porcini as the state’s official mushroom and the brine shrimp as the state’s official crustacean passed the House on Friday. The brine shrimp bill was suggested to lawmakers by Utah elementary school students. Both bills now go to the Senate for consideration.
