Kane County suspending recreational use of public lands to nonresidents

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the Kane County Commission is suspending recreational use of public lands to nonresidents for the next two weeks.

Nonresidents may still enter and leave the county for travel-related reasons and county residents can still recreate on the lands if they adhere to CDC guidelines.

According to Kane County Sheriff’s Office Officials, violations of the order can result in a class B misdemeanor.

This order will be in effect until Apr. 22.
