Huge drug bust removes $280K worth of drugs from the streets

One of the largest drug busts in Sanpete County in recent history has taken drugs with a street value of $280K off the street. Eight agencies, including local law enforcement, joined together to carry out the sting operation in Mt. Pleasant on Wednesday, January 24. Three individuals were arrested and booked into the Sanpete County Jail on various drug possession and other charges. Information had been gathered for months before the raid was executed by the Utah County Major Crimes Task Force.  The drugs were discovered in a safe hidden in a dog house at the residence and included approximately 4 pounds of methamphetamine, various amounts of Ecstasy, heroin, Fentanyl pills, mushrooms and marijuana.
