(St. George, UT) – A state led DUI task force is responsible for taking ten suspected drunk divers off St. George roads. The Utah Highway Patrol DUI enforcement team was in town over the weekend to help with DUI checkpoints. Lieutenant Paul Kotter says the dozen or so troopers with the Weber County based squad were tired of the snow so they came down to catch impaired drivers in St. George. Kotter warns folks that during DUI checks, troopers will look for any reason to stop a vehicle such as a burnt out tail light, which then allows the troopers to check the driver for alcohol consumption. Â
