Governor Cox Presents Spirit Of Service Awards

(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox is recognizing Utahns for making a difference in their communities through acts of service. The governor handed out the first-ever Spirit of Service awards at the State Capitol yesterday. The honorees included ten-year-old Andilynn Chambers of Harrisville, who has given up birthday presents for the past four years to collect donations for homeless and domestic violence shelters. Seven other individuals and groups were also recognized. The governor says he plans to present the awards annually while he is in office.
