(Milan) — Utah Governor Spencer Cox is at the Olympics in Italy trying to reassure a global audience that tourists are still welcome in America. With the winter games set to return to Utah in eight years, many Europeans are growing skeptical that America is still a welcoming nation. At a press event, Cox faced questions from international reporters who asked if politics in Washington would derail the Olympics. Cox noted that the Utah Olympics are still eight years away and he thinks the political controversies will not last that long. The Summer Olympics will be in Los Angeles in two years and some African nations are now worried about tourist visas.
