Gov. Cox Confirms He Will Veto Transgender Athletics Bill

(Salt Lake City, UT) – Governor Spencer Cox will veto a bill passed by the Legislature that would ban transgender kids from participating in organized school sports. During his monthly press conference, Cox explained that he was pushing for a compromise bill during the general session until that plan was swapped out for an all-out ban in the final hours. Governor Cox said the bill that did pass would result in a costly lawsuit against Utah High School Activities Association.
