Power has returned to Wayne County and the surrounding areas. In a post to their Facebook page around 9:00 p.m., Garkane Energy shared that, “crews were able to make temporary repairs by reworking the lines and bracing damaged poles.” They also shared, “the plan is to keep power flowing through this temporary repair while we set up generators. Once those are in place, we’ll switch to generator power so crews can safely de-energize the line and make permanent repairs in the coming weeks.” They also gave a safety reminder for individuals running generators stating, “please make sure your main breaker is turned off. This protects our crews and keeps everyone safe while we work to restore power.” You may still see occasional outages or flickers as repairs continue.
