(Cedar City, UT) — A Freeze Watch goes into effect tonight for a portion of southern Utah. The National Weather Service says temperatures could drop to as low as 28 degrees in some areas, including Cedar City, Grantsville, Richfield, Manti, and Emery. Forecasters warned it could kill crops and potentially damage any unprotected outdoor plumbing. The notice will be in effect until overnight Thursday into Friday. That’s when low temperatures in the region will go back up into the 40s.
