Fatal Crash in Sevier County

During the morning of Oct. 22, authorities responded to a near head on crash on SR-24 near milepost 7 in Sevier County.

According to Utah Highway Patrol Sargent Clay Morgan, “a Geo Tracker was traveling South on SR-24 while at the same time a white Chevy Pickup was traveling North in the same area. The Chevy pickup crossed the center line and hit the Geo Tracker almost head on.”

The driver of the Geo was not wearing a seatbelt and died instantly in the crash. The driver of the Chevy truck was wearing a seatbelt and had only minor injuries.

This crash is still under investigation by the UHP and more information will be added to this story when it becomes available.
