Drifter Arrested In Colorado After Three Women Killed In Wayne County

(Torrey, UT) — A 22-year-old Iowa man is under arrest in Colorado after he allegedly shot and killed three women at random in Wayne County over the past few days. Investigators in Torrey believe Ivan W. Miller first killed an 86-year-old woman several days ago so he could steal her car. He told police he needed her vehicle after his pickup hit an elk. After allegedly shooting and killing Margaret OIdroyd, he drove off in her Buick but decided he didn’t like the car. So, he shot and killed 34-year-old Natalie Graves and 65-year-old Linda Dewey on a hiking trail and stole their Subaru. He allegedly drove through Arizona and New Mexico before being arrested in Pagosa Springs, Colorado. He has previous convictions in Iowa and Alaska.
