(Salt Lake City, UT) — Governor Cox is forming a cybersecurity task force to help protect citizens, businesses and government. The governor announced yesterday that the state would partner with private companies to help prevent data mining, hacking and ransomware attacks. Initial partners include Rocky Mountain Power, Chevron, the Utah Hospital Association, Salt Lake County and others. The governor said the goal would be to implement safeguards in the private sector while also protecting data controlled by the state.
