SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — The coronavirus has put on hold Dani Aravich’s plans for the Tokyo 2020 Paralympic Games. The Utah athlete wants to compete in the 400-meter dash, an event she has never raced. While training, a Nordic ski coach invited her to a Team USA developmental camp and she decided to make a run for the Beijing 2022 games, as well. The Tokyo Games’ postponement means the time between the two major world sporting events will be just six months. The Salt Lake Tribune reports Aravich has her concerns about making it work, but she’s staying the course.
