There has been a change in support availability from the Juab County Search and Rescue. In a post to their Facebook page they shared, “after careful consideration…Juab County Search and Rescue will no longer be available to assist with non-SAR-related activities such as event security, traffic direction, or parking coordination.” The post discussed a shortage of available personnel and increasing difficulty retaining volunteers, “due to the high volume of tasks that fall outside the core mission of search and rescue.” The post also stated, “our mission must remain focused on emergency response and life-saving efforts, and we feel this is the best course of action to preserve our readiness and team sustainability.” The organization shared they regret any inconvenience this change may cause, and thanked residents for understanding and supporting the team and mission.
