(Cedar, City, UT) — A southern Utah city has a new flag thanks to some young residents. The Cedar City Youth Council began pushing for a new flag in the city following the state’s decision to create a new flag for Utah. The new flag was approved earlier this month and put on display for the first time last week. It features three flags in the design that represent Cedar City’s nickname, “The Festival City.” It also has a white star on a blue and yellow background, a sharp difference from the previous design that was all red with a yellow shield in the middle.
