Utah lawmakers have rejected two bills that would have raised the state minimum wage.

Under House Minority Leader Brian King’s proposal, the wage would have gone from $7.25 an hour to $12 an hour by July 2022.

A separate proposal would have given tipped workers one dollar more per hour.
