(Salt Lake City, UT) — A new bill aims to end the requirement for front license plates on vehicles in Utah. House Bill 45 is sponsored by Senator Daniel McCay, and proposes that state money which would be used to print the license plates would instead go toward the Utah Highway Patrol to increase trooper availability on roads. The bill has already passed the House Revenue and Taxation Committee with a favorable recommendation.
