(San Juan County, UT) — The Babylon Fire has more than doubled in size and is now burning more than 38-thousand acres in southeastern Utah. Fire officials say the wildfire remains zero-percent contained after strong winds pushed the flames to the northeast. The Needles District of Canyonlands National Park remains closed, along with several roads and large areas of nearby U.S. Forest Service and Bureau of Land Management land. Dry conditions and gusty winds are expected to continue this week, keeping wildfire danger high.
