A Richfield man is facing new charges after going to the site of dumpster fires he’s accused of starting in April.
According to Richfield City Police Chief Trent Lloyd, 33-year-old Jason Larson was arrested Tuesday morning after getting out of jail for charges of arson at the Deseret Industries dumpster.
Lloyd says Larson was seen again near the dumpsters when officers were called because he was trespassing. Officers ended up chasing Larson, who was resisting, and tasing him (without probes) before he was handcuffed.
Lloyd says Larson was probably high. He’s facing charges of trespassing and resisting arrest. His bail was set at $2,000.
Larson was arrested in May after three fires were started in the dumpsters in April and early May and charged with arson for a fire on May 5.
