American Red Cross Asks Utahns To Donate Blood

(Salt Lake City, UT) — The American Red Cross of Utah is asking for donations to help compensate for blood drives that were canceled due to the recent winter storm. More than 300 blood drives have been canceled nationwide, leaving nine-thousand units of blood uncollected. Officials say the donations are needed even more at this time of year to ensure that seriously ill patients have the blood they need during the holidays. Information about available blood drives and donation center hours is available on the Red Cross website.
