Sanpete County, Utah – Sanpete County search and rescue responded to a call for help on Monday when a hunter collapsed while hiking back to his vehicle. The man was hiking with his son-in-law after they had spent the afternoon hunting elk near the Fish Creek recreation area in northern Sanpete County. The man from Price, who was in his 60s, suffered a medical episode. Search and rescue tried to revive him but were unable and he was pronounced dead at the scene. His body was transported to the state medical examiner’s office for an autopsy.
