The 51st season of the Mormon Miracle Pageant ended on Saturday night with perfect weather and a good crowd in attendance. The pageant goers numbered about 75,000 for the eight night run with dry, sunny weather during the entire time. There were 12,500 in their seats on Friday evening and another 10,000 on closing night Saturday. Visitors were able to enjoy nightly entertainment prior to the pageant, as well as an opportunity to learn about family history in the special tent set up with computers and volunteers. Manti City sponsored the ever popular Sanpete Barbecue turkey dinners with proceeds going towards the new sports complex. Traffic was handled by Sanpete County Search and Rescue and the Sanpete Sheriff’s Office. Monday morning the sets were put away and 14,000 folding chairs were stowed for another year.
