A 3-year-old was killed and two others were injured when a vehicle crashed on Mar. 29 on I-15 near Cedar City.
According to public safety officials the child started to cry in the back seat and when the driver reached back to give them a bottle, the vehicle drifted off the shoulder of the road. The driver then over corrected the vehicle which then collided with a guardrail and rolled.
Department of Public Safety officials reported that the two people in the front of the Toyota 4-runner wear wearing seat-belts. The 3-year-old child was only wearing a regular lap belt and not properly restrained.
The passenger was transported to Dixie Regional Hospital with serious injuries. The child was ejected from the vehicle and died from their injuries. The driver of the vehicle suffered only minor injuries.
