An 11-year-old boy is dead after a watercraft accident at the Gunnison Bend Reservoir in Millard County. Millard County EMT’s and Deputies responded to the scene Aug. 5, where the boy had been pulled under the water by a rope that was caught in the motor of the watercraft. According to a press release from the Millard County Sheriff’s Office, “lifesaving efforts were initiated immediately and continued while enroute to the hospital. The boy was subsequently transported north by medical helicopter for more advanced care. Tragically, however, he has succumbed to injuries.” The matter is being investigated as an unfortunate accident.
