Weber State Football’s Jay Hill Named Big Sky Conference Coach of the Year

FARMINGTON, Utah-Thursday, the Weber State University athletics department confirmed head football coach Jay Hill has been named as the Big Sky Conference head coach of the year for the first time.

Hill received this honor predicated upon the votes of his fellow head coaches around the conference.

Hill is 52-30 (.634) in seven seasons as the Wildcats’ head coach and 39-14 (.736) in Big Sky Conference games at the helm in Ogden.

Hill’s .736 winning percentage is the best in program history in Big Sky games.

Hill became the 5th head coach in program history to be named the Big Sky coach of the year and the first since Ron McBride in 2008.

Over the course of the past four seasons, Hill is 37-10 (.787) and 26-3 (.897) in Big Sky games.

Hill has led the Wildcats to 11 consecutive home wins.

The Wildcats commence the NCAA FCS postseason by hosting Southern Illinois Saturday at 2:00 pm at Stewart Stadium.
