OGDEN, Utah-Weber State men’s basketball sophomore Seikou Sisoho Jawara was named as the Big Sky Conference men’s basketball player of the week per news released Monday.

The Mataro, Spain native averaged 21 points per game and shot 72 percent from the field in the Wildcats’ two wins over Montana State this past week, improving Weber State to 11-4 and 6-2 in Big Sky play.

The transfer from Loyola Marymount is the Wildcats’ third leading scorer, averaging 11.7 points per game.

Proficiently, he shoots 50 percent from the field and 44 percent behind the arc on the season.

The Wildcats return to action Thursday and Saturday at Missoula, Mont. as they visit the Montana Grizzlies.
