PROVO, Utah-BYU junior signal-caller Zach Wilson was named as a finalist for 2020 Manning Award Thursday.
This award honors the nation’s top quarterback.
Wilson has led the Cougars to a 10-1 record and a No. 14 national ranking.
He leads an offense that posts 43 points per game (No. 9 nationally) and ranks 10th in yards per game (510.1 yards).
He is also second nationally in points responsible for (234) and passing touchdowns (30).
Wilson is third in the country in passing yards per attempt (10.82 yards) and fourth in passing efficiency (194.8) and completion percentage (73.2 percent).
He ranks fifth nationally in passing yards (3,267) and rushing touchdowns by a quarterback (8).
He ranks eighth in the country in points responsible for per game (21.3 points), tenth in total offense (319 yards per game) and passing yards per completion (14.78) and 12th in passing yards per game (297).
