(Salt Lake City, UT) – Governor Herbert will not try to stop the use of fireworks in Utah. The governor’s office confirmed yesterday that Herbert will leave any fireworks restrictions to local officials rather than attempting to ban them at the state level. Some groups have called for action after numerous brush and structure fires were blamed on fireworks during the Fourth of July holiday.Â
