3-A Playoffs
CASTLE DALE, Utah-The Emery Spartans overpowered Delta 3-0 in the second round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs Saturday. The Spartans prevailed against the Rabbits 25-22, 25-21 and 25-19 to pull out the victory. The No. 8 Spartans next face No. 1 Union Tuesday at 5:00 pm in the state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-The Richfield Wildcats drilled South Sevier 3-1 Saturday in the second round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs. The Wildcats prevailed 22-25, 25-22, 25-21 and 25-19 to overpower the Rams. Richfield next faces South Summit in the battle of the Wildcats Tuesday at 3:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center in the state quarterfinals.
PRICE, Utah-The Manti Templars waxed Summit Academy 3-1 in the first round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs Saturday. The Templars prevailed 25-15, 22-25, 27-25 and 25-12 to end the Bears’ season.
PRICE, Utah-The Carbon Dinos downed Manti 3-0 Saturday in the second round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs. The Dinos prevailed 25-20, 25-11 and 25-16 over the Templars in straight sets. Carbon faces Juab at 1:00 pm Tuesday at the Sevier Valley Center in the state quarterfinals.
NEPHI, Utah-The Juab Wasps bested Maeser Prep 3-0 in the second round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs Saturday. The Wasps prevailed 25-16, 25-17 and 25-16 to end the Lions’ season in straight sets.
MT. PLEASANT, Utah-The North Sanpete Hawks outlasted Grantsville 3-2 Saturday in the second round of the 3-A volleyball playoffs. The Hawks next play No. 3 Morgan at 11:00 AM in the quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
2-A Playoffs
COALVILLE, Utah-The North Sevier Wolves earned a straight set sweep over Parowan in the first round of the 2A volleyball state tournament in Coalville. The Wolves won 25-19, 25-14, 25-20.
COALVILLE, Utah-The top-ranked North Summit Lady Braves swept North Sevier in the second round of the 2A volleyball state state tournament. North Summit won 25-10, 25-14, 25-18. North Summit advances to play No. 9 Kanab in the quarterfinals of the state tournament.
AMERICAN FORK, Utah-Kanab bested American Heritage 3-1 in the first round of the 2-A volleyball playoffs Saturday. Kanab prevailed 23-25, 25-12, 25-21 and 25-14 to get the straight sets victory. Kanab next faces No. 1 seed North Summit Thursday at 6:00 pm in the 2-A state quarterfinals at the Sevier Valley Center.
ENTERPRISE, Utah-The Enterprise Wolves dismantled Wasatch Academy 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 2-A volleyball playoffs. The Wolves prevailed 25-7, 25-12 and 25-11 over the Tigers to get the easy straight sets victory. The Wolves next face Gunnison Valley Thursday at 6:00 pm at the Sevier Valley Center in the 2-A state quarterfinals.
GUNNISON, Utah-The Gunnison Valley Bulldogs outlasted Beaver 3-2 Saturday in the first round of the 2-A state playoffs. The Bulldogs prevailed 25-22, 25-23, 17-25, 22-25 and 15-13 in the clinching fifth set.
FILLMORE, Utah-The Millard Eagles earned a straight set sweep, 3-0 over APA West Valley Saturday in the second round of the 2A State tournament. The Eagles won 25-15, 25-19, 25-9. Millard now faces N0. 11 Altamont in the quarterfinals Thursday at 4 PM at the Sevier Valley Center.
1-A Playoffs
RANDOLPH, Utah-The Rich Rebels overpowered Bryce Valley 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs.
TABIONA, Utah-The Wayne Badgers won a hard fought match over Tabiona 3-1 Saturday in the second round of the 1A State Tournament. The Badgers prevailed 25-22, 16-25, 25-15, 26-24. Wayne now faces No. 1 Rich in the quarterfinals Friday at Union High School at 4 PM.
MILFORD, Utah-The Milford Tigers downed Green River 3-1 Saturday in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs. The Tigers prevailed 25-27, 25-20, 25-12 and 25-17 to end the Pirates’ season. Milford next faces Intermountain Christian Friday at 4:00 pm in the 1-A state quarterfinals at Union High School in Roosevelt.
JUNCTION, Utah-The Piute Thunderbirds stormed past Tintic 3-0 in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. The Thunderbirds downed the Miners 25-11, 25-7 and 25-17 to get the straight sets vivctory. Piute next faces Panguitch Friday at 4:00 pm at Union High School in the 1-A state quarterfinals.
PANGUITCH, Utah-The Panguitch Bobcats smoked Water Canyon 3-0 Saturday in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs. The Bobcats humbled the Wildcats 25-20, 25-15 and 25-16 for the straight sets win.
ORDERVILLE, Utah-The Valley Buffaloes decimated Pinnacle 3-0 in the first round of the 1-A state playoffs Saturday. The Buffaloes prevailed 25-7, 25-4 and 25-3 to rout the Panthers.
ESCALANTE, Utah-The Escalante Moquis swept Wendover in the second round of the 1A state tournament, 3-0 Saturday. Escalante won 25-12, 25-13, 25-14. The Moquis next play No. 3 Valley in the quarterfinals at Union High School Friday at 4 PM.
