Shots were fired this morning in Milburn as Sanpete County Sheriff’s officers and Fairview police attempted to take two individuals into custody. The Sheriff’s Office was made aware that two individuals, Brett Gilman Johnson, 51, and Jamie Carol Cleghorn, 41 had outstanding warrants. When the officers arrived at their residence, they were fired upon by someone inside with what is believed to be a handgun. The two then fled on foot east into the hills in the Milburn area. They are currently being sought and considered armed and dangerous. Helicopters and a SWAT team are on site, and K9 officers are also participating in the search. If anyone in the area sees anything suspicious, they should call the Sanpete County Sheriff at 835-2345 or dial 911.
