The heat wave in Central Utah has taken its toll on more than just the residents. Just before 3 p.m. on Monday, August 3, a Rocky Mountain Power transmission line was damaged, causing over 4,300 customers to lose power during the hottest part of the day. Crews are working to restore power from Manti in Sanpete County to Sigurd in Sevier County. According to their website, it is hoped power will be restored before 7:30 p.m.
