SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Pastor Steve Klemz of the Zion Evangelical Lutheran Church in Salt Lake City is retiring after 28 years. He has worked tirelessly on social justice issues, including capital punishment, civil rights and immigration reform, as well as helped create the Interfaith Roundtable to bring together religious leaders from many faiths at the time of the 2002 Winter Olympics. That camaraderie that has continued to this day. An Indiana native, he also had stops in Tanzania and Minnesota before moving to Utah in 1992.
