A wildfire has caused multiple evacuations in Leamington. The fire reportedly started June 28 and according to Jason Curry, PIO for the Forest Service, many homes in Leamington were evacuated.

In a post on the Juab County Sheriff’s Office Facebook page they stated that “SR132 west bound from Nephi was closed due to the fire. Also a closure on US Highway 6 was being considered and alternate routes are being advised.

According to Utahfireinfo.gov, as of June 29 the fire is at zero percent containment and has burned 50,000 acres.
