CEDAR CITY, Utah-Wednesday, Southern Utah University men’s basketball signed three new members to the Thunderbirds family in former Skyridge High School guard Braden Housley , North Dakota transfer Aanen Moody and Dutch national Kenyuoe Ondaan.
Housley is a 6-4 prospect out of Lehi, Utah who averaged 16.4 points, 6.2 assists and 3.4 rebounds per game for the Falcons in the 2019-20 season.
Moody is a 6-3 guard entering his junior season who posted 6.6 points and 2 rebounds per game for the Fighting Hawks during the 2019-20 season. The native of Dickinson, N.D. will have to sit out one year per NCAA transfer rules but will have two seasons of eligibility left for SUU.
The 6-4 Ondaan, a native of Rotterdam, Netherlands has competed on both the U18 and U20 squads for the Netherlands and has most recently played for Apollo Amsterdam. The true freshman is one of five foreigners on the Thunderbirds’ squad.
The others include Australian nationals Jason Spurgin and Jarryd Hoppo, New Zealander Yuat Alok and Croatian national Ivan Madunic.
