New COVID – 19 Testing Guidelines

Utah continues to expand testing statewide. Now anyone with symptoms, regardless of however mild they may be, can and should get tested. Prior to this, the majority of tests were given only to people with more serious symptoms.

The Utah Department of Health is urging anyone with a cough, shortness of breath or a fever of more than 100 degrees to be tested.

State Epidemiologist Angela Dunn says this is an essential piece to containing the epidemic.

Gov. Herbert said from the very beginning that testing would be a crucial part to flattening the curve and slowing the spread. Getting to this point is a milestone in the uphill battle.

Testing in this area can be done at the following Intermountain Health locations:

The  Fillmore Clinic,

The  Richfield Clinic and

The  Ephraim Clinic

Before visiting one of the testing locations, please call the COVID-19 Hotline at 844-442-5224.

Calling ahead allows a medical professional to assess your symptoms over the phone and determine if you should be tested for COVID-19.
