Central Utah Food Sharing announces changes amid outbreak

Central Utah Food Sharing in Richfield, Nephi, Bicknell, and Piute has announced changes due to the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak.

In the announcement it was shared that “we will be replacing our Client Choose approach to a Pre-boxed (or pre-sacked), mobile-style distribution process. The pantry part of the food bank is closed to clients shopping.”

They also stated the process for bringing the boxed and sacked food to vehicles.

  • Come on your appointed day and time
  • Please stay in your vehicle and follow the car in front of you to the loading zone
  • When you are called to the loading zone, please have you ID available and be ready to show it
  • The food will be delivered to your vehicle
  • Please bring your boxes back, next months boxes are limited

The announced changes will stay in place until instructions are given to go back to the client choice model.
