(Utah County, UT) — The Utah Highway Patrol is blaming black ice and heavy fog for causing a huge 14-car pile-up on northbound side of I-15 between Springville and Provo this morning. Troopers say the crash happened around 7 p.m. before the University Avenue exit in Provo. One man suffered a broken ankle after he was struck by a skidding car while trying to help another driver involved in the collision. It took UHP about three hours to clear the entire scene.
