GRAND JUNCTION, Colo.-Jack Pagenkopf stepped up with 16 points and 5 rebounds as the No. 22 Dixie State Trailblazers got past Colorado Mesa 67-62 Saturday at Brownson Arena in Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference men’s basketball action.
Dason Youngblood added 13 points and 6 boards on 6-11 shooting for the 19-4 Trailblazers, who improved to 19-4 and 14-3 in RMAC play.
Dixie State shot 50 percent from the field in the first half as head coach Jon Judkins’ squad built a 40-30 lead at halftime.
Tommy Nuno had 13 points and 5 rebounds in the los for the Mavericks, as they fell to 14-9 and 10-7 in RMAC play.
The Trailblazers return to Burns Arena Friday and Saturday for their final home games of the season against Adams State and Fort Lewis, respectively.
