LOGAN, Utah-Wednesday, Utah State football coach Gary Andersen announced the hiring of Bodie Reeder as the Aggies’ new offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach.
Furthermore, current assistants Stacy Collins and Frank Maile will now serve as co-defensive coordinators.
All of them will address the media Thursday at 11:00 am.
Collins will also coach the secondary and Maile will be the defensive line coach.
Mike Caputo will now move to the offensive side and become the Aggies’ tight ends coach.
Justin Ena will coach the inside linebackers and Bojay Filimoeatu will serve as the outside linebackers coach for the squad.
Mark Orphey will assist Collins with the responsibilities in the secondary.
Reeder has previously served as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at North Texas (2019) and Eastern Washington (2017-18).
Reeder has also spent three seasons as the offensive quality control coach at Oklahoma State (2014-2016) and four seasons as the offensive coordinator and quarterbacks coach at Division III Wisconsin-Stout.
Reeder began his collegiate career as a graduate assistant at FCS Eastern Illinois in 2010 and 2011.
This past season, the Mean Green scored 30.6 points per game, ranking them 52nd nationally. North Texas ranked 27th nationally with 283.3 passing yards per game and 17th nationally in passing touchdowns, tying them with Memphis for 33 passing scores.
In 2018 at Eastern Washington, the Eagles netted a school-record 623 points and netted at least 600 yards of offense five times. Eastern Washington also set a school rushing record with 3,839 yards on the ground (255.9 yards per game) and 41 rushing scores.
Collins has 22 years of coaching experience, including four years as a head coach and five more years as a defensive coordinator.
Maile has nine years of collegiate coaching experience. Of those, eight have been spent as a defensive coordinator.
