A Fairview man was sentenced to prison on Wednesday on one count of 3rd– degree felony forcible sexual abuse. David Jackson Pemberton, 53, was sentenced to 0 to 5 years in the Utah State Prison for abuse of two 14-year old boys he hired to help him build a cabin in Hideaway Valley. The sentence will run concurrent with a 10-year prison sentenced he is already serving. That case out of Utah County resulted from Pemberton’s guilty plea to rape of a 14-year old Pleasant Grove neighbor and an obstruction of justice charge. The victims in the Sanpete case had asked that the sentence run consecutive to his current sentence, but an agreement had already been made to run the sentence concurrent based on his guilty plea.
