SALT LAKE CITY (AP) — Utah police say a man found dead in his wife’s freezer last month had been there 10 years. The Deseret News reported Thursday police are investigating how the 69-year-old man died, and whether his deceased wife had any help putting the body into the utility-room freezer. Authorities say the woman used a wheelchair before she was found dead of natural causes last month, but did not need one a decade ago when her husband died. They are also investigating whether the woman kept the body in the apartment west of Salt Lake City to keep collecting his benefit payments.
