ST. GEORGE, Utah-Megan Jensen amassed 25 points and 10 rebounds on 9-14 shooting and the Emery Spartans used a 16-6 4th Quarter run to surge past the Richfield Wildcats 41-36, capturing the 3-A girls state title Saturday at Burns Arena on the campus of Dixie State University. Emma Jones had 14 points in the loss for the Wildcats.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Ellie Wilson and Madison Fields had 8 points apiece and the Grantsville Cowgirls locked up Juab 36-16 to place third in the 3-A state tournament Saturday. Bayli Heap had 6 points in the loss for the Wasps.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Jacie House had 9 points, making three 3-pointers, as the Morgan Trojans placed fifth at the 3-A girls state tournament, downing South Sevier 38-22 at the Burns Arena Saturday. Kaylie Jenson had a game-high 11 points in the loss for the Rams.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kynlee Penney posted 16 points and the Millard Eagles got past Enterprise 47-41 to win the 2-A state championship Saturday at the Sevier Valley Center. Jessica Holt’s 16 points led the Wolves in the loss.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Jessi Anderson netted 11 points and 7 rebounds as Kanab outlasted Beaver 55-52 in overtime Saturday in the 3rd place game at the Sevier Valley Center in the 2-A state tournament. Sydnee Gillins had a game-high 14 points in defeat for the Beavers.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Kennady McQueen led the way with 29 points as the North Summit Braves claimed fifth place at the 2-A state tournament with a 67-38 rout of Wasatch Academy Saturday. Courtney Condie’s 12 points led the Tigers in defeat.

ST. GEORGE, Utah-Matt Nelson’s 20 points and 7 rebounds on 8-14 shooting led the Manti Templars to a 63-50 win over South Sevier Saturday at Burns Arena, capturing the 3-A state championship. The Templars, who lost their previous two games to South Sevier this season, took complete control with a 24-14 run in the 3rd Quarter and kept the mighty Rams at bay. Brodee Tebbs had 17 points on 7-12 shooting in defeat.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Ryan Potter netted 19 points and the Grantsville Cowboys edged Delta 55-54 to take third place in the 3-A boys state tournament Saturdy at Burns Arena. Derek Smith’s 21 points led the Rabbits in defeat.
ST. GEORGE, Utah-Cade Russell amassed 22 points and the Morgan Trojans claimed fifth place at the 3-A boys state tournament Saturday with a 50-41 win over South Summit. Ryan Griffin’s 14 points and 8 rebounds on 5-8 shooting led the Wildcats in defeat.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Davis Heslington netted 26 points and 6 rebounds as the Beaver Beavers waxed Duchesne 44-30 Saturday to win the 2-A state championship at the Sevier Valley Center. Jaren Mortensen posted 9 points in defeat for the Eagles.
