RICHFIELD, Utah-Brittney Henrie netted 11 points and 8 rebounds and Jordan Bennett added 11 points and 9 boards as the Panguitch Bobcats overpowered Rich 44-29 in the 1-A state semifinals Friday at the Sevier Valley Center. Panguitch took control of the game with a decisive 16-5 3rd Quarter surger after it was tied 15-15 at the half. Kierra Groll and Amber Smith had 9 points apiece in the loss for the Rebels.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Brynnli Nelson posted 10 points, overcoming a leg injury, and Wayne got past Wendover 45-40 Friday in the second-day loss bracket at the Sevier Valley Center. Yanely Duenas had a game-high 11 points on 4-6 shooting for the Wildcats in the loss. Wayne will play for fifth place Saturday at 10:00 am at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Emily Morgan posted 25 points on 6-9 shooting as the Piute Thunderbirds finished the game on a 31-5 run to down Tabiona 61-49 Friday in the second-loss bracket at the Sevier Valley Center.
Gigi Allred had 18 points in the loss for the Tigers. Piute will play Wayne for 5th place Saturday at 10:00 am at the Sevier Valley Center.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Breanna Nelson stepped up with 16 points as the Bryce Valley Mustangs gashed Manila 54-43 in the consolation bracket at Richfield High School Friday. Aspen Collett’s 20 points led the Manila Mustangs in the loss. Bryce Valley will play Valley at 10:00 am Saturday at Richfield High School for the consolation championship.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Saige Cox’s 13 points led the way as the Valley Buffaloes edged Monticello 43-39 Friday in the consolation bracket at Richfield High School. Ashley Adair had 10 points in the loss for the Buckaroos.

RICHFIELD, Utah-Tate Leech stepped up with 15 points and 6 rebounds as the Bryce Valley Mustangs downed the Manila Mustangs 53-43 Friday to advance to the 1-A state championship game at the Sevier Valley Center. Jordan Lucio had 20 points and 9 rebounds on 7-13 shooting in the loss for Manila. The state championship game is a KMGR broadcast and starts at 6:30 pm on KMGR Classy-FM.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Acey Orton netted 19 points and 6 rebounds on 7-10 shooting while Jace Eyre added 17 points and 11 boards as the Panguitch Bobcats downed Piute 49-36 to advance to the 1-A state championship game against Region 20 champion Bryce Valley. Kesler Blood had 14 points and 6 rebounds in the loss for the Thunderbirds, who play Manila for third place Saturday at 2:30 pm. This game will also be on KMGR.
RICHFIELD, Utah-Gavin Hoyt made 13 of 16 free throw attempts and shot 2-3 from the field as the Valley Buffaloes downed Tintic 44-35 to advance to the 5th place game at the Sevier Valley Center with the win Friday. Valley will draw Monticello, a 72-66 winner over Wendover in the 11:30 am game. Jesse Wall had 14 points on 5-9 shooting in the loss for the Miners.
