LOGAN, Utah-Friday, Utah State men’s basketball signed 7-2 Polish center Jakub “Kuba” Karwowski out of North Platte Community College (Neb.)

Karwowski, who will have two years of eligibility remaining, appeared in 55 games for the Knights the past two seasons, starting 42.

Karwowski averaged 9.7 points and 8.9 rebounds per game for the Knights last season and scored in double figures in 12 games.

He also added six double-doubles for North Platte and posted 66 blocks on the season.

Karwowski ranked third in the NJCAA in field goal percentage, shooting 70.6 percent (108-153) from the field and made 3 of 7 3 -pointers (.429) on the season for the Knights.
