WEST VALLEY CITY, Utah (AP) — Police in a Salt Lake City suburb say a man was shot and seriously wounded while attempting to intervene in an argument.
West Valley City police say a man involved in the argument Monday night on a street near Bangerter Highway pulled out a gun and shot the man who was trying to intervene.
The shooter ran away and no immediate arrest was made, but the suspect was described as Hispanic, in his 30s and having tattoos on both arms.
The victim’s identity wasn’t released.
He was hospitalized in serious but stable condition.
